Wildebeest Migration, Rekero Pride, Big Cats Sightings – Weekly Sightings
As we start off September, we hope to be fortunate enough to sight amazing wildlife activities across all our safari destinations in East Africa.
The Wildebeest Migration Sightings
Since July 2022, the wildebeests migration has been the center of attention as they migrate from the Serengeti to Masai Mara in Kenya. This year has recorded one of the many amazing wildebeest crossings along the major Mara Rivers.
We have witnessed more than 1.5m wildebeests crossings and migrating in both Kenya and Tanzania.
At the moment, the wildebeests seem to be migrating back to Serengeti from Masai Mara, in search of greener pastures and water. This is due to depressed rainfall in both Serengeti and Masai Mara.
Big Cats Sightings, Rekero Pride, and The Samburu Special Five sightings
It’s been an interesting weekend to the start of September with amazing sightings from Masai Mara and Samburu. Big Cats sightings by amazing photographers, and guides.
Below are some of the sightings from this weekend by Mamai John From Entim Camp, Onesmus Ole Irungu from Bushtrack Safaris, and James Selel from Mara Bush Camp.
